Refer to this line from the original post: "There is no trigger system, no delicious fruits, no reverse gravity, only the base sound effects and the sprites that were needed for the engine."

Which is to say, you're going to have to make your own. If you're asking how to make your own, you should open up another engine and take a look at the code there.
Yes, what Kyir said. The reason why i removed them from the original engine is because i wanted to encourage people to make their own creative gimmicks or come up with their own version of these gimmicks.

If you absolutely need them though, it might be easier to import whatever you need from my engine to another engine that has those objects set up.

This is a message to those guys who aren't actually wondering what's the point of this, but they're laughing and being sarcastic about it since they think we're nerds that waste their time on shit that nobody cares. You guys are totally free to think that nobody cares about this and that this was a waste of time, but let me tell you something first.

Want it or not, we're all wasting lots of hours on unproductive stuff such as playing fangames (especially games like k2 or k3 where you have to grind for dozens and even hundreds of hours). So guys, let me ask you something: do you think people actually care about what you're playing? Nope. Do they care about the stuff you beat? They don't give a shit. Does the game help you at anything than just wasting your time and making you mad? No. Is your effort rewarded? No.

Then what's the point of wasting your time on games, watching films and entertainment in general? Movies, games and most things related to entertainment make you waste your time and money. What's the point of wasting your time on a shitty 2D platformer that more than 99% of the world's population don't give a fuck? Oh, and if you're thinking about the people that actually care about this game and its fangames, most of them won't even give a fuck about what you beat (not because they're mean, but because they're human).

Then, why do you play these games? :o
For fun.
And why did I waste time on finding this?
For fun, too.

So we're all wasting time on stupid worthless stuff and we only do it for mere entertainment. Interesting.

The difference is that there are actually people that gave a fuck about this and congratulated us on finding this, when probably noone cares about the shit you play or have beaten. :)
Plus we don't go making fun of what other's waste time on for mere entertainment, which is, in my opinion, kinda unnecessary and unrespectful. :)

Are there any benefits to using the sound folder outside of gm. Because in my last game i just put all the music in the .exe.
The biggest benefit to loading music externally is memory management. If you intend to make a very large game and you don't manage your memory usage, you're going to run into a lot of problems. GameMaker by default will load everything you put in the GMK into the memory when starting the game. If the memory overloads this can cause bugs, missing music or sounds, surfaces or particles not loading properly and more.
