I Dun Wanna be Anything 2 v1.1

DOWNLOAD: DOWNLOAD: https://www.mediafire.com/download/k8x19ubqgfwvdiq/I_Dun_Wanna_Be_Anything_II_v1.1.zip

This is the sequel to the first IDWBA. This one works a little different than the previous one. It's much less trollish and focuses on exploration. It kinda feels like a metroidvania game. This game is complete, but I may add extras in future releases.

An issue that may happen occasionally is that when you open the game, an error will pop out saying something about "sxms". That is an issue with the music engine I use and, unfortunately, I cannot fix it, since the engine is unsupported and I don't have access to the source code. :(  What I do to fix it is to close programs that use sounds like Skype or Chrome. If that doesn't work, all you can do is reboot the computer... :(
Windows 10 users: the game works with it. If you're having trouble, reboot your computer and try running the game.

There's a good chance you'll come across a situation where you don't know where to go, since there are quite a few places to explore. While I don't make a map for the game, you can check out this one (Thank you Geezer! :D): https://i.imgur.com/eW0tQqY.png

Also, I'd like to thank the people who helped me polish this game:

Sound Engine doesn't seem to run on Windows 10 unfortunately, even with Chrome and Skype turned off.

I haven't tested the game in Windows 10, so I have no idea. All I can do is recommend you to restart your computer and try running the game. :(

EDIT: yes, the game works with Windows 10. Just restart the computer before running the game.

Not sure if this was a known issue or not but I'll share anyways:

If you kill the spider boss during the time it's summoning those electric webs, this happens:
(click to show/hide)
The game will pop that message up, then the boss death scene will play out and immediately after it ends, the player will automatically die and the death counter will reset, also commands were frozen for me after that so I had no choice but to reopen the game (when reopening the death counter was normal though)
(click to show/hide)
I managed to reproduce it 5 times so I'm sure it's not a one-time error, and killing it before that phase made the boss die without problems, so I think the reason is killing the boss during that attack.

Can confirm the above for said spider boss happened to me just now as well. Its only during the start up phase of those electric webs, once they are in place and still active you are free to kill it again.

Another issue I had were frame drops / small 'freezes' every 5-10 second in the Frozen Shrine during the platform section.
The main boss fight didn't have that problem neither any other area I explored so far.

I'll fix the spider boss issue.

Could you tell me specifically which part of the Frozen Shrine you suffered with the lag? I thought I fixed that before releasing the public version :/

It really was the whole area of Frozen Shrine for me except the boss, started as soon as I entered it.

Did you have the same issue at the hive area, if you've been there?
