This was a really fun marathon to watch and I'll be watching the VODs to catch up on what I missed. There's a LOT of work done behind the scenes to put this all together, so great job all around by the runners, announcers, hosts, and more to make this run smoothly.

What was your favorite parts of the marathon? I loved watching Naloa do the TAS drop to his own disbelief

Three events this year (with a twist for each) to sign up for: Needle Maker, Jump Master, David and Goliath.

Needle Maker:

Gamemakers will be given jtool maps of two previously unseen rooms containing a start point, an end portal, and blocks to break up the room, and will make needle levels out of them. Unlike last year where GMs has 15 minutes per room, GMs can use a full 30 minutes to work on both rooms. Also, there will be a twist this year for the final extra 15 minutes (TBA). GMs can use anything in jtool for their level, including water, refreshers, etc.

At the end of the 45 minutes, players will share their levels and speedrun them in alphabetical order of creator until the event time limit.



Jump Master:

Note: IWBT Jump Master will be updated for this event.

Fangamers will fight to be the best jump master by completing as many of a single jump in a row over a 30 second time
period. These jumps range from Gate Jumps to Double Diamonds. The Fangame "I Wanna Be the Jump Master" will be used which works by a point system, giving you points per jump along with a multiplier bonus for doing jumps in a row.

If there are 2-4 racers they'll happen on one 4P layout stream. If there happens to be more we can do a tournament.

At the end of all the rooms, the game will list a summary for each type of jump and the total points. The the person with the most points wins.



David and Goliath:

Ever wonder how skilled fangame speedrunners are? Beginners and Experts (and those in between) will "face" one another in the same game with handicapped game modes

This is in essence a handicapped race: beginners will play on easy, the experts will play on hard (and moderate on medium).

The game will be IWBT Incremental Game. If there are many players we will have a race to finish worlds, then the winners will face the other difficulties. Otherwise, it'll be just hte latter with the goal of making it as far as you can in the hour time-slot.

And as always, there will be a twist for experts at the event's end...

Hey everyone. I was hoping we'd be able to do a collection pool for a big donation during Stonk's NANG run during AGDQ Friday night at 8:30PM EST (12:30 GMT Saturday).

If you'd like to donate please try to PM me no later than 6PM EST on Friday (20:00 GMT) so I can get the donations sorted out.

Uploaded a quick patch for those of you who change your in-game controls around (same link as always)

*Fixed saves not working if you changed your controls (changed keyboard_check(ord("Z") ro keyboard_check(global.shotbutton))
*Fixed the access point to the easy/medium credits not appearing

There's an impossible jump in World 3 level 4 in Hard :atkCry:

Ugh I see where you're talking about, I have no idea where that spike came from considering I didn't change that room since the last version.

Also had a few changes to 1.14, the real end-game version 1.20 will come out soon.

BUT you can now use any older version save file and it'll work without giving you an error! Big thanks to Klazen for the help with the fix.

Fixed bug where saves in older versions (v1, 1.1, 1.11, etc) wouldn’t load in the newer version. All saves should work now
Changed the kid sprite to mimmick the Adventure Capitalist main character
Changed a few jumps around

Please note that loading a prior version's save may give you an error since there are some new things added to the config. In that case I'm sorry, you may need to start a new file to be able to play with the new features. However if you've beaten the game on hard and want to get right into playing insane, send me your file and I'll manually move your save to the end.

That being said, according to other reports, running the .exe as Administrator should stop that error you're getting.


100+ jumps have been upgraded in this version with over half of them on easy/medium to get them more streamlined, as well as to get newer players used to doing more difficult jumps. There were are few other visual improvements included, along with more proper autosaving in the tutorial, easier movement between rooms for final, along with a hint at the end-game things to come  :denKamilia_v2:

Next version will include:

As usual until it's 100% balanced: more updated jumps primarily for Insane mode
End-game material and incentives
Hub running deaths/time
Possible online leaderboards
