Then why didn't he just say that the original one he posted worked for Game maker 8.1...     

It does work with 8.1, that's the version I use. I just tried doing this on a fresh engine and everything is working fine for me. So I would call shenanigans on gamemaker being weird as it often is the case.

I really wish I could help but sadly I can't. 

I would concider trying your hand at Fmod, but I have no experience with it.

FMOD is a very hard task to work with, especially in GameMaker 8.1. Though you will get more quality and use out of FMOD and really isn't needed for a project like a Aiwanna game.

I'll stop posting threads for fangames now unless if they're my own.

Nothing is stopping you from doing that for now. Us admins are discussing whether this should be a rule or not.

Not answering Ario's troll. I actually didn't think of GR as THAT bad (I mean it isn't good, but hey). I'd say like PYF or see you suffer.

What troll? I just don't like shrine maidens because of terrible physics, and i don't like original guy, what's trolly in that?

Shrine Maiden's 2 physics were pretty bad, imo. The physics I believe are from a mario engine. Go Figure .

Ima get me some 7zip. Winrar sucks. Doesmt open any .rar folders, so whats the point of having it.

You must have unchecked something when installing it, thats your fault, not the program's.
