I'm talking about jumps that don't just appear in needle games. Jumps that appear in any type of game are what I'm going for. (Although some of those are good)

Some jumps that have become common in needle games. And I agree with Inferno's last post, what most of us call the "mini F."

I've never heard anyone say double block diamond, only ceiling double diamond or roof double diamond. A double invert is pointless because it's just literally 2 inverts in a row. Your triple diamond is meh because there are a lot of possible heights and I doubt that a 4.5 is either common nor needs a name because you literally just call the jump the jump (in contrast to the 16px gap you can actually see that it's 4.5 blocks without having any knowledge in pixels).

Ya, you're right, ceiling double diamond is what people usually call it.

I see what you're saying, but I think the jump is common enough that its existence should be acknowledged. Like, there isn't one  universally accepted form for a double corner, but the double invert is a specific and rather common position (well, in needle games, probably not in the games most people play, though many people would probably be curious about the hardest common positions anyway) that comes up relatively often in discussion.

Ok, then erase the 40 px. The point of that was to emphasize that, in its most common form, the triple diamond is raised a little, though I suppose that's clear from the positioning of the block in the image. The triple diamond isn't necessarily a common position anyway, though since the diamond and double diamond are included, not including the triple diamond suggests that it is impossible or never used.

Good point. I mentioned the 4.5 block jump because 16 px gap was included, but yeah, there's a clear difference in how much prior knowledge is required to understand the terminology.

I feel, if anything, that should be inverted hourglass, and the other one which you (infernoman) labelled inverted hourglass, should be hourglass. Because of their shapes.

I think the roofed double diamond should be added, but a triple diamond really isn't necessary.  Seeing a single gate, people know it's a gate.  Seeing two gates, people know it's a diamond.  Having a double diamond on there is really only so you can tell what a third gate would be, and then anything after that is just a bigger number.  There's no sense in adding a triple diamond because there can be an infinite number of diamonds if it has infinite jump or water or something.

For this reason, a double invert would make sense being added, but I can't imagine people not knowing what a double invert looks like if they know what a single invert looks like.

A "Short-Cancel F" seems unnecessary to me because it's SO uncommon and can be explained with existing terms.

Of the other ones infern0 mentioned:
"U" should be added with the name "V" instead.
I like the "A" jump.
I also like the "Open Gate."
Everything else seems unnecessary.

And yeah, calling the "T-Bone Vortex" just a "Vortex" would prolly be good.

I personally dislike calling jumps like letters (a single one like the M is fine by me) but that's just my opinion and not really neccessary. I think if we added the open gate there would be way too many really easy jumps that are just as common as this. This jump is hardly important imo and I never see anyone die to it.
