I suggest Lemon Engine if you are new to GameMaker
I'm using it, and it is great for learning how to use traps.

Today I was working on my fangame when I found a really weird sprite glitch. One of my traps uses a fish object (Cheep-Cheep) that faces up, and when it hits a certain point it is supposed to look down and move off screen. To make him do this "animation" I am using the sprite_index command, but when I load the game the fish is replaced with the first sprite for the kid. Is there any way to stop this or another way to change sprites?

That's Lethal Frag's ferret Rosie, she already has an emote on his channel so I cannot make another one.
I meant that :boshySave: or :boshyProgress: would be the white save, sorry for the confusion.

I was playing IWKTG and "beat" the second phase of the sword boss for the first time
I picked up the bomb and pressed Shift to try and jump over the spike on the ground
Walked into spike and killed myself :paraPalm:
(Kill the Guy uses Z to jump)

Programming Questions / Giving Rooms Music in the Yuuutu engine

How do you put music in rooms in the yuuutu engine?
I have music in the Sounds folder (bgmZeldaOverWorld) and I want it to play in a room, but I can't figure put how to do it.
When I move the playMusic object into the room, it just plays guyrock, and there isn't any place in the roomStart code where I can change that.
I did notice that in the Megaman room, the playMusic object says BGM Megaman, but don't know how to make that happen.
I just can't get the music to play. :(

Alright, here is what I think happened.
Every time I experienced a crash, I was not using WinRAR, which is why after I uploaded it to MediaFire, it worked.
After I uploaded it, I checked to make sure it worked, and it ran.
I don't know why, but for anyone experiencing this problem, open Gamemaker 8.1 in WinRAR.

Wow, nevermind
I fixed it somehow
I was turning off the "find and remove old temp files" and I hit run in secure mode
I ran it and it fixed the problem  :IceFairy:

How do I upload a .gmk file?

I checked all of the scripts and have pasted the original script back in, but no luck :(]

Edit: I checked the scripts with the "Check Recourse Names" "and Check All Scripts" options and it says that no errors or name conflicts were found
