Announcements / Team Change + Twitch Community
« on: February 10, 2017, 11:21:55 AM »
Hello everyone!

Most of you probably saw Denferoks post from a few days ago, if not, here is the link.

Unlike in the past, we want to take actions now. Denferok and I went through the Team-List and quickly sorted out a lot of people who are barely streaming and/or don't take care of the quality of their stream. We basically put the current team members into three categories:

- Stay: People who are streaming regulary fangames, have a good quality stream and are enjoyable to watch.

- Unsure: People who are streaming unregulary fangames but enjoy themself if they do so, have also a decent quality stream and are enjoyable to watch if you catch them online.

- Remove: People who don't stream at all or very rarely, don't really take care of their streams in terms of audio/video quality and are not interesting to watch for new people.

I will not post the full list here, because I don't want to call out anyone and make them feel bad or anything.

The new team is not about having only high-level Fangame player. It's more about "If you enjoy fangames, you should definitly check out those streamers!" and I think the new team represents the fangame community as a whole very good. These people are not only streaming almost every day, but they love what they're doing and are really passionate about it, and as a viewer you can feel that passion.

If you are no longer a Team member, please don't take this decision personally. Feel free to message me if you want an explanation, why you were removed and I will give you an honest answer why >I< think you are not suitable for the new team. Also I want to mention that the team requirements page has been removed. We won't accept any applications anymore, instead we will send out invitations to the team.

On top of that I want to quickly make an introduction to the new Twitch feature called "Communities". It is basically a new directory on twitch which represents streamers of certain communities. Here is the link.
It is a new way for us, to advertise the community on twitch and will allow us, to reach out to a larger audience. Unlike the team, everyone is welcome to stream for our new Twitch-Community "Fangames". While we don't have any rules yet for the community, please keep an eye out on the right side of the community for upcomming changes. This is not a community solely for IWBTG-Fangames, we want to share this community with many other fangame communities, like Mario-, Sonic or Undertale-Fangames.

-Quick Setup guide-

If you want to stream under the new community tab (what I highly suggest) you have to visit
your Twitch-Dashboard. There you will see a new text-field to type in the community, you want to stream for.

Just type in 'Fangames' and you're ready to go.

Looks like a good opportunity to strenghthen the team again.

-Remove inactive members:

Den and me already did this once. I wrote a personal message to everyone on the team and asked about their streaming future and if they intend to stream again. Most people answered and were totally cool about being removed, some didn't answered and just got removed. I would have not problem doing the same thing again. (Inactive means for me not streaming for atleast a month)

-Increase requirements to join the team

Depends on what you mean with that. I watch rather someone new to fangames who is interactive with a mic, than someone who writes occasionally into the chat and is a good player.
So im totally against using some kind of "Be able to beat atleast...." requirement.
What I think should be a requirement tho, is that the person MUST HAVE streaming experience and know how to make a stream not look like shit. I dont want someone on the team who is capturing the whole desktop just to see the 800x600 window somewhere in the middle of a blank desktop. Also having already streamed some fangames should be a requirement (maybe atleast since a month?) so no one completely new gets accepted just to leech the hosts.

-Remove members who no longer meet the requirements

Not sure what you mean with that. For example someone who is streaming, but no fangames at all? I would message them and kick them. The team is about fangames and not Runescape or whatever. Of course its alright to stream other stuff, there are always these days were you dont feel like playing them. But fangames should be still the "Main attraction" in your stream.

-Require English Broadcaster language

Im kinda torn apart on this one. I personally never watch anything else than english streams. But I can see on the other hand, how streams with other broadcaster languages can benefit the team.

-Follower alerts

Fuck follower alerts. But I dont know if you want to tell someone else how they have to design their stream. But everyone who is reading this: Dont use them. You will lose more possible followers than you'd get.

Alright, thats everything from my side !

Next time you should say it immediatly that you haven't made the game, so people wouldnt give you their opinion. And not edit it later in and ranting on people giving feedback. Stay classy  :ZreknarF:

What would you think of letting all people participate for the "hill-spot" in the weekly race? Instead a 1v1 race. And the week before is solely used for practice and submissions on the leadboards?

Im glad people still use and enjoy the the guide !

If there are requests for certain jumps, I will maybe expand it. But I think I covered most jumps
which dont require a certain precision for the first AND second jump. Of course I could explain how
to do an invert or whatever, but it doesn't make much sense because those jumps require Muscle memory
and not a cheesy setup.

Hello dear Community !

It's long ago that I started this post but I can finally tell you guys: We did it!

We collected whooping 200$, which helped Ultra A LOT, as he just told me. I hope
no one had the impression that we scammed you  :MVGame:

As mentioned in the Main-Post, every donor will get a place in the "I wanna Sunspike 2" credits.
Also Ultra hid something special for every donor in his sleeves as a big "Thank you!" but I can't go more into detail here!

Also a big thank you by me! This showed me again how great this community is and I'm glad I'm part of it!

If you want to get some sneak-peaks for Sunspike 2 you should definitly follow Sunbla .

Thanks again !

Sweet ! Sadly the Beta is over and the Character wipe will happen. But I will keep
my name (hopefully) for the new character.

The plan is:

-Release at the 10 december (8th if you've preordered)
-Play again until 30 for the guild creation
-Have fun!

Everyone is welcome to start with me (us) on the 10th and chill out in TS.

Hey guys,

a few community members and me picked up a new game called "Devilian".
It's an Hack'n Slay with MMO elements like:

-Open World (You see other players running around)
-Group Dungeons
-Raids(?)

and what not. I played now around 4hours and have a lot of fun and as soon
I hit level 30 I wanted to create a Wannabe guild.
The game is Free2play and has a Ingame-Marketplace, so its downloadable
for everyone !

If you wanna join us, feel free to do so  :atkHappy:

You can download the game here !

You also have to create a "Glyph account" on this site.
Once you downloaded the Launcher and want to install the game, make sure you
you selected the EU region before installing

(click to show/hide)

otherwise you will have to download the game twice if you selected US and installed the game.

If you wanna see some gameplay feel free to watch my VOD or check some Youtube videos.

My ingame name is "Zurai" if you want to contact me.

See you guys hopefully soon !
