Weekly Wannabe race

Hey everyone,

I thought about a weekly race for the whole Wannabe community. We could race every week at a certain day and everyone would be ofc invited to participate. The game which we race would be chosen by a vote or something the week before, so everyone has the opportunity to practice.

Also it would be possible to do blind races, but the problem is, that some of us already completed so many fangames so there would be not much left what they could race blindly.

What do you think about this idea?

Picking the games is always a problem. We'd probably not be able to classify it as blind, just not tell anyone what game until right before the race

That could be a problem, what if one person doesn't have it?

Well maybe we could have short games made for the races by a small team, although this would mean that they couldn't take part in the race since its got to be blind to be fair. this might not be possible for a weekly race but certainly a fortnightly one. I would be willing to help in this regard and I'm sure some others would too.

I'm gonna go ahead and bump this because racing is fun, and we need to do it more.  As it is now, Stinky, YoYoYo, me, and whoever else has decided to join have been doing blind fangame roulette races every Saturday.  They are super fun, but I would love to have some non-blind races every so often, too.

Let's actually get this going, guys!

Problem is more that a quarter/half of the community is located in european timezones so we would eventually need two schedules.

We could just create a racethread with a set time every weekend and hand out the name of the fangame. Important is that people actually know that a race will happen and some peeps may actually join.


Maybe BINGO will rescue us all from boredom.

Well, as of right now, I just wanna see how many people would actually be interested in this happening.  Guys, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN if there were weekly races, please post below.  If there is enough attention, I'll make my own thread to be able to actually organize stuff, but I wanna see if anyone cares first. :v

I would certainly be interested in racing on a weekly basis, BINGO or not. The time zones may prove to be difficult to work with, though.
