I Wanna Be Persistent
« on: August 29, 2013, 08:27:20 PM »

I Wanna Be Persistent is a puzzle platformer where you are, for lack of a better word, persistent. Even after death. That's right, your blood will remain onscreen after you've met your untimely end. But make that end timely, and you'll be able to complete jumps never thought possible in a normal fangame. Quadruple diamond? Piece of cake. A straight 30 block shaft? Easy peasy. Jumping over 20 consecutive spikes? Yawn.

Here's an example.

Features:
-Open overworld. Can go any direction you want, bosses can be fought in any order, a la IWBTG
-Over 30 songs in the soundtrack
-Plenty of fun and innovative puzzles and boss fights
-NO triggers or traps
-Unlockables, such as Boss Rush, Extra Stages, Level Editor, and more

So get out there, and become persistent!

I would suggest a barrier around the saves that erases blood upon contact, because at some points it's really annoying that you have to instantely restart and jump after dying because you might get trapped in your own blood else.
Hector, the dropping knowledge.

My thoughts after playing this, though a good concept, i need to agree, its just not performed very well, sometimes when you have a perfect blood path.

^ I can agree with Hector this can help, sometimes when you die and have perfect blood platforms, some at the save point may prevent you from moving, also the left side boss, its too hard to approach. but that's just an issue i had.

Gutiger it is a good concept, i can agree, but it needs further testing, if you can further test with this, you can make this into an amazing game  :BloodTrail:

Death is part of the game, thus dieing means you are doing it right. If you think about it, it's impossible to legitly die in this game :DapperKapper:
