K3 save problem
« on: June 19, 2015, 08:59:21 PM »
Hello, I'm a player who reached Rukito area in K3. I'm playing in v1.30 and this version may have some hitbox problem with the Influka area.
I want to go back in v0.995 but the save doesn't work anymore in this version (wrong room).

Can someone tell me how to go back in v0.995, if the problem is fixed in v1.30 or if my save is fucked ? My last v0.995 backup save is in the bossrush, with almost everything left, so I don't want to use this solution.

All the version's save files can be used in later versions, but later version's save files can't be used in previous versions. I'm afraid that your two choices are either doing it over again or savehacking.

Is the hitbox that bad ? Or the fight is ridiculously hard and there is no point in trying in v1.30 ?:/

I think that v1.30 is okay with the influka fight, but who knows. Test out your hitbox by dying a bit to see if it's good.

Has a savehack of version 1.25 circling around, you can use in your version.

If Influka area is humanly possible in v1.30 I have no reason to use a savehacked version, but thanks :)

Hi guys!
Sorry for reviving an old thread but I seem to have a similar - or rather opposite -  problem with my K3 save.

All the version's save files can be used in later versions, but later version's save files can't be used in previous versions.

I've been playing v.0.992 and I'm at the second secret. I downloaded v.1.30 and tried to move my save file over, however when I click on Start Game it says "You must clear 1st boss" and the game closes. My stats and achievements seem to transfer just fine. Any help as to what might cause this would be greatly appreciated!

I think that it might involve achievements, so maybe move in both your save and your DeathTime and hopefully it'll work. I'm not sure which file holds the achievement data. Another possibility is that it IS something with versions, as v.992 has no portal room but v1.30 does have the portal room. Since there's gotta be variables to determine the lasers that will get removed in the portal room, they might also be the reason why you have the bug. If that's the case, then you're out of luck. I'm sorry if that's the problem.

I had the same problem, I think you just can't transfer a save that is before bossrush (at bossrush the problem stops).

Your explanation makes a lot of sense to me. I just bit the bullet and did everything again, its not like I was far into the game anyways.

I'm playing on version 1.30 now and apparently encountered yet another, more devastating problem. After 48 hours I made it to the third boss; I saved at the last save in the guy tower and jumped around on the vines in the boss room before dying to a spike. When I try to reload now I get a pop up message saying wrong save file and the game loads the boss room without the kid. I can pause the game and shoot but nothing more. Somebody please tell me there is a way to salvage this  :atkCry:

That's a problem I experienced too. I'm afraid you're going to have to savehack the player into the right position, either that or back to square one.

Thanks again for your reply! Savehacking is not something I want to do but if the alternative is starting all over...I don't know jack about savehacking in the the first place though and never could do it myself so I'd have to rely on the kindness of strangers. Is it even possible to just change the position while keeping my stats, achievements and such?
