I Wanna Kill the Kermit
« on: December 20, 2014, 04:38:18 PM »
This is a long game that gets harder and harder. Don't expect to finish in one sitting.

Mostly spike jumps, but there are some gimmicks, some bosses, and the very occasional troll.

There are secrets (more info in the readme).

The music files make a lot of the size  :atkCry:

Also, new update released about an hour ago. You can use the same link. Nerfed a number of things in World 4 after feedback from players.

A warp got broken in the process of updating last night. A new update is up, which you can also get with the same link as before:

The first boss is actually pretty awesome imo.

Updated version for those who got lag when there was too much Kermit blood on the screen:

If you did not lag, then you don't need this update. It just makes Kermit blood destroy itself after a second.

Running the .exe as Administrator should stop that problem.

Also make sure you extract the file from its compressed folder. That seems to be a common problem among a lot of these errors.

I decided I will be working on an update.

This will include:
  • A better payoff for getting the secrets (likely including an extra "real" boss)
  • Compressed music to lower the file size significantly
  • Some level design and balance changes in the later stages
  • Changes to existing bosses to make them into more interesting fights
  • Maybe more?

No ETA as of now, but I feel motivated, so it should not be too far out.

Sorry update took longer than expected to finish.

Version 1.5:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/h8sl6lmlpc3vtmm/I%20Wanna%20Kill%20the%20Kermit%20v1.5.zip?dl=0

Update notes:
  • Changes to Stage 5, Stage 6, and Extra Stage
  • After you clear final Stage, there is now also a warp in the hub to go to the final boss
  • Unfortunately I could not compress the music without the quality being messed up (I tried), so file is still large :atkCry:

The ideas I had for extra boss did not pan out, so I decided not having an extra boss was better than having a bad extra boss. Sorry for those who may have been looking forward to one.

At this point I am looking forward and working hard on future projects, and hoping this is the last update for Kermit.

Good luck to those looking to finish this game, and thank you for your patience to those who were waiting for the update  :atkWaifu:
