UpRising: The Mechanical Garden (v0.526 Released! 30/05/15)
« on: October 23, 2014, 08:35:17 AM »
Note: Not strictly an IWBTG fangame, but I feel it would be appreciated by the members of this forum. If this thread shouldn't be here, do please inform me.

Created primarily by myself, Giest118, and Neo; UpRising: The Mechanical Garden is a simple yet difficult platform game in which you are a small, sentient mushroom trying to save his friends from a mysterious yet familiar-looking being.

Inspired by games such as Jumper, Super Meat Boy, and I Wanna Be The Guy (it wouldn't be posted here otherwise!), there plan to be 200 very short stages (most averaging ~30 seconds) with more to come in the future and over 20 bosses!

Download the latest version of the game (currently v0.526) here!
A new version will be available with every new world completed.

I really like the game, it looks nice and plays nice, just some suggestions, make the timer start only when you press a button so you don't get to start running just as you die, I also think the bosses should have less health, and then for balance give the player less health. I also found a bug where when you die, and before you respawn you press R to go back to stage select, you will go back from where you went into the stage select room.

I've been talking with people in a Skype chat and I want to be ask you forum-goers as well just to be sure: Would this game be welcome on the Aiwanna Wiki?

Oh, and so I don't make an empty post, here's a stage I've been working on.

I'd say it would, seeing that Weegee was accepted to the wiki.

Amazing ^^

A minor update has been made to UR:TMG, addressing things such as new screen options and level tweaks. Thanks to ParagusRants for broadcasting the game and letting me know of things that needed altering.

The link in the first post has been changed to now link to the new version.

World 6 work has begun, and hopefully it'll be done relatively soon (for this project anyway :denGumi: ).

I'm guessing the stage in that video is a kamilia 3 parody

It's a side world I have planned which is essentially a mini medley game, for lack of a better description. :P

Hello there 128-Up. I played your game for a while now and it is just a great experience, mixing both elements from IWBTG and Super Meat Boy. Great work there.

I'm eager to see what to expect in world 6.
Are you already designing levels for the next world or have a screenshot available? Like for the HUB room of world 6 or the first level.

Alright, so I got to play the game and honestly, you shocked me. I wasn't sure what to expect out of the game but when I started playing it, it just felt SO fun and entertaining! The design, the visuals, the audio, everything felt perfectly on their own place. I am loving this game and I'm very much hyped for the Medley World too, M-Stage is one of the better parts of k3 and I can't wait to see what you're going to make with the great potential you showed on this masterpiece. I have nothing more to say rather than: Great job and keep up the awesome work.

I know it's been five months since the last version, but this is only a bugfix. Sorry.
We were informed of some crash instances recently and only just got them fixed... hehe.  :paraPalm:

This will be uploaded to the wiki too.

In the meantime, however, here's a taste of what's to come.
