Announcements / Calendar Feature

If you look up at your bar, you will notice a new tab has been added, the calendar. You can use this to keep track of when people have birthdays, or other events that may come up along the way! If you want to have an event, or something posted on the calendar, such as a marathon, a competition, or something else that the community can help out with, don't hesitate to ask either LemonXReaper, Starz0r, or me. If it's interesting enough for other members, along with posting it on the calendar, we'll even post an announcement about it!


And remember to wish people a happy birthday!

Hey there,


So, with our previous administrator retiring, the forum was plunged into a bit of a problem with spam bots. So I took it upon myself to see these threads down. I've taken the position as the administrator to help you guys in any way I can, and to see this community grow into something bigger. If you have any suggestions to the forum, or any complaints for that matter, feel free to contact either LemonXReaper, Starz0r, or me. I'll be active almost every day.

[/size]I Wanna be the Karaoke
[/size]  -You gotta sing while doing hard platforming, and if you get the tempo/words wrong, you die even if you make the jumps.[/size]  -You sing with the lyrics, and it automatically goes through the screens, and you die if you mess up singing.  -Singing makes the screens harder, so you don't die immediately if you mess up, but it makes it more difficult to win.


With FMod.dll and some heavy coding, or just straight out another language, something like this should be achievable. However, if I'm going to be doing it, it's going to be in a looong while, because I'm booked the next few years.

Anime & Manga / Holy shit G-Senjou no Maou!

Or as the english translation goes: The Devil on G-string.

If you're in to Visual Novels, I definitely recommend this. It contains 3 side stories, and a main story line of 40 hours, and a few h-scenes at the end 


Oh damn the plot twists.
And the end; holy shit I haven't cried that hard in all the time I can remember. Like, literally 20 minutes of audible compulsive crying.
Then at other times, the characters (who you actually build a personal emotional bond with) sometimes gets put in situations so awkward, that you just uncontrollably table-flip your computer.


This is a definite must-read for any Visual Novel enthusiasts

Video Games / Red Alert

Red Alert was a great game.
Red Alert 2 was indescribable.
Red Alert 3 was eh okay.
I heard they were making a Red Alert 4..?
It would be funny if they made Red Alert 5 before they made Red Alert 4, just for the sake of time travel

Now, I've heard people claim that Red Alert is not a strategy game. Personally, I find Red Alert to be the "grand father" to strategy games, it was broken as hell (since it just came down to who could rush first), but it spawned a boundless array of other strategy games, who build on the same concept. What do you think about this matter?

Since they sold C&C to EA, it's gone downhill in my opinion. I hope they sell the C&C series to another company, such as DICE, or Valve.
Who knows, maybe the next RA game will finally have Nazis!

I've also heard people say the RTS genre has been dieing lately. What do you think about that?
I hope that Planetary Annihilation will kickstart a whole new branch of RTS. But I think that the reason that the RTS genre is considered to be dieing, is because Starcraft is such a huge thing that it overshadows all the other brilliant RTS games. Since Starcraft is quite an old game, relatively speaking, it would seem the RTS industry has halted with creating new innovative games.

Game Design / Now, wouldn't something like this just make for a great boss?

I was captivated by this PMV the other day, and I thought about those timed survive-a-thon bosses. I thought how epic a boss battle like this would be, so I thought I'd share it with you guys, and see what you had to say about it.

Some friends were playing my game and found a buttload of glitches, I fixed a couple of them but gotta do homework.

~ Removed Creativity bar, and set it at a fixed amount that works good (To many level-design flaws)
- found bug: Stuff can spawns in walls
- found bug: Spawn/exit can spawn inside walls

Status Update (09-04)
I'm thinking of taking this project up again. Since the gmk got so cluttered that it was unbearable to work with, I will have to remake it from scratch.

1.5 (14-04)
+ Reprogrammed everything (except the menu) from scratch
+ Made generating script smarter, and easier to edit
+ Made controls smoother
+ Added visual effect when stopping horisontial momentum on the ground
+ Added Wall Climbing (though no use for it yet)
+ Added Wall Jumping  (though no use for it yet)
+ Should have fixed any bugs that were there before
- Temporarily removed keys and doors
- Temporarily removed torches on walls
