Hello! First of all I'd like to thank you for this tutorial! It has been very helpful! However, I encountered a problem whilst playtesting. When I turn the music off, I am able to pass through the spikes without dying. Do you know how to fix this?

You're probably using Yuuutu.
Ctrl is a godmode in Yuuutu, iirc look in the scripts

I've decompiled your game if you don't mind.
Here's explanation.
if(muteki=0 && global.Debug_Muteki_Mode=0){ // <- if these two = 0, player dies (this is killPlayer Script)
In SetGlobalOptions:
global.Debug_Muteki=1
global.Debug_Muteki_Key=vk_control // <- Control activates this parametr which cancels death basically


I also suggest you use full-rectangle collision mask in menu, because aiming straight at buttons is annyoing

I don't wanna be rude or something, but looks like you've decompiled Kill The Maker and mainly use resources and coding from it (for ex. blood, title card coding),also I'm 100% sure you've got KTK3 tiles from it.
You've also decompiled bunch of other games (I highly doubt you got permission to use their resources) and threw Manabu Namiki music like KTK did.

Godmode is in the game.

2/10 because anyone can do the same thing in a few days by wisely decompiling stuff.

I see that you're improving, but not in a best way as for me.

I had to refresh my computer and when I start up K3, it says "Wrong Savefile."  Does anyone know how to fix this?

First of all, why do you even put saveGame in player creation object.

Secondly, saveGame script automaticly checks for existing file, so you don't have writing it twice,
