Livestream Broadcaster
« on: January 16, 2016, 09:34:02 PM »
I've been wanting to stream for a long time, but I haven't been able to at all because Vista doesn't seem to be compatible with anything anymore; I should probably just get a new OS, but in the meantime I have to work with what I have. That being said, anyone know of a broadcasting software that's actually compatible with my OS?

According to the OBS website, httpss://obsproject.com/, Vista is supported with Service Pack 2 and over, although I'm gonna assume you've tried that or don't have SP2 because that would be the first thing I'd try and direct people to.

XSplit is compatible with Visa, and Windows XP SP3 on top of that. So, if OBS doesn't work, I'd go there, although I'd highly recommend trying to get OBS working. httpss://www.xsplit.com/download

I tried OBS a while back, but I couldn't install it at all, as the installer would crash after I pressed the first button on it; I'll try again later today when I get on my comp. Thanks for the suggestions!

This can occur if you installed the wrong x32 or x64 version ... I don't know if this is the case, but it has happened to me before on my old computer (running Vista).

Well, the same thing happened when I tried to install OBS, and xSplit straight up told me that I couldn't install it on my OS; any other suggestions?

Installing Windows X seems like a good idea. Vista isn't a very good OS, keeping it around will only cause more problems as time goes on.
