Kamilia:
 Kamilia: hello

 Starz0r: hai

 Ratko: yo
Ratko: you added me on facebook

 Kamilia: again pls

Ratko: i'm here to interprete what kamilia wants to tell you now

 Starz0r: what is that?

Ratko: i just heard you guys are talking about modification

Ratko: it's not about to say no to modify games for fun.
 Ratko: but

 *** Kamilia added sunbla ***

Ratko: you have to understand how people from different country insist about the action.
Ratko: so i think that we should refrain from registering the games on open community in which everyone can see.

Starz0r: My forum isn't really, how you say, that public
Starz0r: we only have so many members
 Starz0r: around 160
 Starz0r: and 1/6 is spambots

Ratko: this is now, but you don't know about the future in community

Ratko: you know you are promoting your forum through doruppi.

 Starz0r: sorry bad internet

Ratko: also, there are a lot of people knowing about modification morethan population in the forum

Ratko: and some of japanese producers mentioned they would stop making the game since they realized the situation.

 Kamilia: ok

Ratko: it's hard to contact just because of the language problem.
 Ratko: and also the cultures.

 Starz0r: Why won't anti-decompiler help
 Starz0r: I mean
 Starz0r: Kamilia 2 and 3 have it

Ratko: what do you mean there are anti-decompiler helping kamilia 2 and 3?

 Starz0r: well
Starz0r: it curtainly stopped people from
 Starz0r: decompiling it
 Starz0r: and copying it
 Starz0r: even thought
 Starz0r: anti-decompiler doesn't fix the problem completly
 Starz0r: some people can still
 Starz0r: recompile
Starz0r: fairly easily in that sense
Starz0r: I have many friends who can break the protection
Starz0r: I do understand the risk of decompile and modification
Starz0r: but most mods are to

Starz0r: fix problems such as repeating music
 Starz0r: and
 Starz0r: standard iwbtg sprites
 Starz0r: or tilesets

 Starz0r: yes

Starz0r: not many people do not understand how to break it
 Starz0r: Decompiling doesn't fix anyproblem I guess

 Starz0r: I see

Ratko: we already realize stopping them is impossible.

 Starz0r: most people will decompile

Starz0r: most people will share the gmk from the decompiler
Starz0r: most people will mod and share it

sunbla: sorry i was busy. if its really a problem with the mod i can make it private

Starz0r: deleting the board on the forum will do nothing

Ratko: but it's not only anti decompiler but also decomplier people are not really aware of.

sunbla: i dont want any trouble. we just made that mod for pure fun. with full credit to the creator
sunbla: i like and know a lot of the japanese creators and they are very nice

Ratko: did you guys try to contact to the producers to get a permission?

Starz0r: Most of the time no

sunbla: i have no idea who made meteor stream sorry:(

Starz0r: there is probably one mod that was there that the creator allowed us to make

 sunbla: otherwise i would

Starz0r: But he soon fix it himself
Starz0r: I can't contact all japanese fangame creators to fix mistakes

 Ratko: i understand

Starz0r: That is why mods exists

Starz0r: to fix things that the orginal creator didn't do

sunbla: ratko you mean the meteor stream mod right now i think?

 Ratko: i have no idea.

 sunbla: (worry)

Ratko: i'm here to interprete the conversation here.

 sunbla: oh ok

sunbla: to be really honest. i am totally against modifications on normal games. like changing hitboxes or level design or boss hitpoints

 Ratko: kamilia suggests!
 Ratko: that
Ratko: he wants you stop registering the games you modded for fun but it is okay to share on skype.

 Starz0r: hm

 Ratko: how about that

sunbla: okay it is fine for me

Starz0r: I guess that is fine

sunbla: i didnt mean it offensive in any way

Starz0r: I will have to notify the forum of this change

sunbla: you can tell that kamilia

 Starz0r: Well
Starz0r: If you think the size of the community is small
Starz0r: you can advertise it on twitter
Starz0r: And have more people join
Starz0r: we have more advance conversations
Starz0r: like guides on completing jumps

Ratko: he is not talking about the size of the forum
Ratko: he is talking about the biggest problem we have now

 Starz0r: Which is?

Ratko: that the modded version has been exposed on open forum.
 Ratko: without producers's awareness
Ratko: and i don't recommend you to google the korean words.
 Ratko: google translation sucks.

 sunbla: https:fangamecommunity.x10host.com/forum/index.php?topic=363.msg2234#msg2234 fixed

Starz0r: idk it seems pretty good

Ratko: if you really mean to respect the original producer i think you should delete the post.

Ratko: if the size of the coummunity is small then why don't you share the game to people you know on skype.

Ratko: i'm probably sure you know a lot of them and have them on skype.

Ratko: the biggest reason why the post must be deleted is that we don't want to let people know the word &quot..

 Starz0r: we have contests
Starz0r: and awards for clearning curtain fangames

Starz0r: We also have a korean only board

 Starz0r: https:fangamecommunity.x10host.com/forum/index.php?board=34.0

 Ratko: actually
 Ratko: kamilia joined already
 Ratko: and also posted

 Starz0r: yes
Starz0r: I was actually talking about you Ratko

 Ratko: oh
 Ratko: me
Ratko: i'm not really a i wanna player or producer even though i helped opening up international i wanna fangame match with gukka for twice.
Ratko: and the thing that i can no long help you guys is
Ratko: i will join the millitary service in korea in a week.
Ratko: ane will spend time for 2 years.
 Ratko: anyway
Ratko: i will join the forum too
 Ratko: good luck man

Ratko: are you sure is it gone

Ratko: To me and japanese people, it is positive to mod for private fun but negative for being public.
Ratko: i hope you to explain this to the other people in your forum or else.
 Ratko: please.

Ratko: you know decompiler and anti-decompiler are not really public. and
Ratko: if these are being continuosly opened, people from different countries might wanna modify and fix.
Ratko: and this will be the problem because
Ratko: i mean if the games are gone to wiki beyond the community.
 Ratko: alright
 Ratko: we are done talking.

 Kamilia: thx
 Kamilia: :O

Ratko: if you have some words to kamilia or japanese producers
Ratko: you may say it here.

sunbla: well just sorry if someone understood it wrong. i really respect every fangame creator

 Ratko: thanks

Hectorpaddy:
This Forum is not the official I wanna be the wiki, which is the main central of fangames, it is our forum of our community, there are different communities, so who are you to directly forbid us what we do? Saying that this forum would be bigger of a deal that using Skype or other private medias is pretty pointless, since the result is exactly the same, just that is easier for the maker of the mod. If you release a game you have to risk that people do stuff with it, it's not like you would directly malefit from it, do you?

Of course theres always the risk of people modding it, but: a game maker gets acknowledgement for his games if they are good. And though I dont share this attitude, I can understand makers that get angry when people play mods of their games  and not the "official" ones in which the makers spend much time and creativity.
Thats why I also think people can mod games till they throw up and share all over skype but one shouldn't post it since thats kind of an open message to the world to try out the better/cooler/funnier mod.

According to you they only get acknowledged if their games are good, in which case there's no need to mod. If the game is bad your point is invalid.

As I mentioned before this is not more official then any skype chat is, if you give someone a game over skype you did that officially too and the result is same: you shared the game with other people.

most modded games are decent challenges, where people want to improve several aspects. bad games usually dont get modded
since you`d have to change the whole game.

of course your attitude is comprehensible, but still one is public and one is private, so in my opinion its a difference. when i have some cool links or pictures, i also  have reasons  for sending it to mates privately instead of posting it for everyone on fb.
