JTool Maps Needed! [I wanna be the working title]
Shoepert:
Submissions have closed. Thanks for those who have sent in maps!
I plan on creating a lovely game based around everyone's awesome super cool JTool maps! For those who don't know what that is, it's a nifty tool that patrickgh3 made that allows you to create your own IWBTG levels. Download here I don't know what it will be called yet, but that's the least of my worries.
It's hard to know where exactly to start, since there's so many different kinds of themes you could create, such as using jump refershers, vines, water, only a few certain types of spike, mirrored, dotkid, infinite jump, and everything in between. The game might be planned out in categories, along with the difficulties in each. We're going to need easy, medium, difficult, and expert maps. It'll be a lot of work, but hopefully with your help and Jtool maps, we can create something awesome!
In order to make this somewhat easy on me, I'd love it if you labeled your maps accordingly, such as the type (can be vague), difficulty, and author. If you'd like, you can have a custom label, or tell me what you'd like your custom label to be and I'll make something for you. This label will appear whenever a level you created is being played. Just as a forewarning, not ALL maps will be in the final product, so make them good! We need as many as we possibly can get. Tell everyone you know, and tell them to tell everyone they know to make a map. Can be easy, can be hard, can be memee (maybe not), but be sure to make it interesting and fun to play. Also, I have to say this before anyone sends it. You MUST playtest your map from start to finish before saving it. I've seen this happen a lot of times (myself included) where you finish your map, it's all spiffy and amazing, only to realize once someone plays it that it's impossible! No one wants an impossible map. Gross. So test your games thoroughly so I don't have to constantly reply with easy peasy fixes. If worse comes to worse, and the map is good, I can just fix it slightly. Submitting your map gives me consent to make any changes I deem necessary. I will tell you what I've changed with the map before anything, so don't worry.
SEND YOUR MAPS HERE! -> jtoolmaps@gmail.com
When submitting, PLEASE LIST THE FOLLOWING SOMEWHERE IN THE MESSAGE: Your username, The type of map (optional), the difficulty, and the title of the map (optional). It would help a bunch if your username was at the very beginning of the Jmap file. Seeing a bit of a x/10 trend, future submissions' difficulty can be rated out of 10.
Hopefully this will turn out pretty GOOD. WakaHa
The deadline is January 31st. You can still send them in, but anything submitted before this date is priority.

Is there a limit to how many we can make?

Not at all! Depending on how many we get, I might take the best of the bunch from each person. If worst comes to worse and not many submit, a lot of your maps will get in if you submit a lot. :^)
