I Wanna Be The Fangame crashes?

Hey everyone!

First post here. Just recently got caught up in the I Wanna games (still haven't beaten Boshy, damn you Sonic). Yesterday I attempted to download and play I Wanna Be The Fangame on a recommendation from several people. I actually found two different versions of the game, and both of them crash: One version in a room with some sort of monster banging the floor, and one in a room with what appears to be a treasure chest boss.

Does anyone have an official link for the game? Or know if there is a work around? I really would like to get through the game but I simply haven't been able to.

You seem to have Windows 8, in which case you are out of luck.

A lot of old fangames crash on Windows 8 because of some sound issue, nothing you can do really.

If you're playing by yourself, from what I've heard you can disable your sound output device, as in going into Control Panel -> Hardware and sound -> Manage Audio devices, and disabling whatever you use for sound output. I've heard that that can help with crashes due to Windows 8, but I'm not sure how much it can help you. Hopefully it works  :BibleThump:

I've been able to play Kamilia 2 on a Windows 8 laptop without crashing just by turning the volume off for the application itself.
