Title: Your favorite genre of music and song

This was gonna happen eventually (I hope) so, as it seems it's always up to me to make these threads, just do as the title says. And of course I'll start it off with saying my favorite genre is Classic Rock (Wonder if it shocks anyone)

When I was younger I was really into Hard Rock and Metallica. These days I'm more into elecro music.

Hmmm... My taste in music is very specific. I like some (but not all) trance, techno, DnB, instrumental, classic, metal, rock, blues.

The reason I say my taste in music is specifc is.... I don't like to have any (ANY) lyrics/singing in my music. It just ruins it for me.

I generally like songs that are easy to sing along with or are easy to dance to.  I like rock, some rap, some pop, some disco, hard dubstep, DnB (specifically Fox Stevenson/Stan SB but I listen to others), and WoodenToaster (I'm really not sure what his genre would be called, but he is one of my favorite musicians).  I'm pretty open to new music, but country is pretty much the only genre that I hardly ever like.

Hmm, I like a lot of stuff from Renard which is breakcore, and other than that I like jazz and anything electronic other than really heavy dubstep, this song is probably one of my favorite songs

I don't rly have favorite genre, even though i listen more to Electronic and Rock and a shitton of videogame soundtracks

If you're curious, try Sunlounger. It's perfect.

Or, for faster and more up-beat, I like DnB and some House. Kaskade is a great example of House, while Pendulum is a great DnB example.

I started listening to pop, jazz and funk when I was a child, then I started listening rock, hard rock and rap (I prefer 'old school' rap or whatever is called) and now I listen to EDM every day. I like Electro House, Electro, Drum & Bass, Progressive House, some Dubstep songs, Glitch Hop (specially when they're really funky) and Moombahcore (only a few songs from this genre though). My favourite producers are Virtual Riot, Astronaut, Seven Lions, Favright, AZEDIA, Trivecta, Rob Gasser, Rogue, Tristam, Madeon, Different Heaven, Braken, Feint, TwoThirds, etc.
Btw, I've been playing the violin for more than 10 years and I still play it almost every day. In fact I'm always playing it when I'm making music.

At first I started listening to very underground Hip-Hop/R&B from the 90's when I first started listening to music on my own (i.e. Wu-Tang, Biggy, MF Doom). Then from Kanye I discovered more electronic groups (Justice, Daft Punk, Gesaffelstein, Brodinski) and soon moved on to two different roads which I still listen to:

There's the heavy, fast/slow paced shit that is pretty much blood-pumping (Pendulum, Black Sun Empire, Knife Party, Skrillex (PLS DONT HIT ME TOO HARD), Aphex Twin's "DnB," Square Pusher, MOON, Phuture Doom, Autechre, etc.)

and then there's the more "lighter" or "soothing" sort of ambience sounds (Aphex's "Ambient", Boards of Canada, Crystal Castles, Ratatat's more chill music, Flume (still applicable), PYE Corner Audio, Bibio, etc.)

Overall, I like every single genre (except Country), believe it or not. Hell, I can go so far to like not only music, but just frequencies at random, as long as it meets my criteria (>inb4 music IS "random frequencies")

I don't care about the genre, I only care if I find the song enjoyable, but I do prefer more speedcore and Idontevenknowhowitscalled but like old styled music, medieval and shit, also I can't stand rap and hiphop at all.

I like me them genres with one song under its belt; human sequencer, esoteric slow/speedcore, AcuticCore, "Only One Christmas Song" ( :Kappa: ).

Then there's them more known genres, like euphoric/progressive trance, IDM, complextro, (progressive) artcore, cyberpunk, goa, hardstyle, maybe splittercore, uplifting house.

Also can't stand most hip-hop/rap and country songs, although I can make a few exceptions for the former (good ol' EarBreaker, wish he submitted to Diverse System more (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERZ1W3ujr8c)).

I'm really into an artist called Johannes Bornlöf. He does epic-styled music that's sometimes mixed with a little d&b. If i could best describe his music in one way, I'd say 'Find My Destiny, Death, Phase 3'. I recommend checking him out sometime.
