Discuss about the worst fail you ever made in a IWBTG fangame, must be anything related to IWBTG/fangames.

Mine: I actually took the 5 trials way in I wanna be the Fangame since i thought it was the right path, but it wasnt.  :RedCoat: So i started again.

I spent 2 hours trying to do a jump that was literally impossible to do in that specific game. I don't remember the game, because it was a while ago when I first started playing iwbtg games.

Here's a list:


-Dying on the second TAS jump in TAS 2 (main area).
-Save fucked my self on the second-to-last jump in Insanity 2
-Jumping into the wrong startup portal in L
-Saving after the 1-frame block jump in D, and then falling off and saving in the segment below below without realizing (threw my controller across the room after this one)
-Dying on the last jump in the flippy-puzzle secret in Crimson
-Dying to Influka several hundred times in Kamilia 2
-Dying in the last part of the avoidance boss in Skyclad
-Failing quite a lot in one hard segment in Spike Master
-Dying to the final dickish attack in the 'pentagram' boss in Permanence. 3 times.
-Hitting the ceiling too hard after the second 1-frame jump in Zeus and missing the easiest jump in the game
-Downloaded Tribute
-Dying to a corner jump after a difficult segment in the red stage of Genius


That's all I can think of at the moment, and I know I have some pretty bad moments in my history of fangames.

By far, when I beated Geezer in Kill The Guy and closed the game before saving. I was a noob in that moment and I died 400 times before that fail. So, that was very painful.

Not too much compared to the others here, but I did accidentally save on the first screen in Kamilia 3 when warping there from the first boss, I wanted to go get the secret, but didn't want to do the rooms after, and when testing it, I accidentally shot the save, so now I have to re-do the entire stage again :/

In this one screen of Uhuhu Spike 2, you have to go under and then loop around and jump over a gap to reach the third save. Getting to the second save was hell enough, and after from struggling I get to the gap and fall down. I felt such relief at finding a save there, but too late I realize that it was the first save of the room, so I had to repeat the first half all over again!

Not exactly my worst fail, but one of my most recent.

So about a year and a half ago i was playing justice through for the first time, and I couldn't beat the avoidance fight because I had recently had eye surgery and it made it very hard for me to see the outlines of the projectiles on the background of the room.

Worst fail so far? Landing on the middle spike after descending through the "Veni Vidi Vici" corridor in World 4 of Boshy...is a close second to dying to the giant spike maze right when I got Skeleton King to 0HP. :paraPalm:

Yea, it's been a month since the last reply, i guess no one had heart breaking fails recently

Now this screenshot is more than meets the eye, so I collected the secret, and died to the plane jump, there is a lot of stuff before the plane so this makes the plane a choke jump none the less, whats even worse, is that i got here again, got through the plane but i did not get the double jump in.

Seriously though, I can't even call this a choke. I've rewatched my footage at speed at least a dozen times. Every time my impulse has me make the same move at the very end based on the visuals. It's just that the visuals lie to you because the very final attack is a total piece of shit.

After an hour and a half grinding the final boss of Rekt, I make it to the final barrage sequence, only to die. This hurts especially considering how all the bullets are slow-moving and very easy to read, and also that it was another two hours before I got back to that point to finish the game proper. I'm not sure about which version is this one, but the Portal Room here is only unlocked after you clear the game. Or at least, that's what the ReadMe says '-'

In 100 trials, in the last 20 screens, the medley ones, on the stage from IWBTG, where there is nothing to kill you...
I saved while bonking the ceiling which made me stuck whenever i restarted. But because you can't die on that screen, i continued. Next screen, i MISSED THE SAVE. Didn't notice it (i suck at fangames) and went on, then died. Restarted, and got forever stuck in a ceiling.

Also poor moose...

If you're talking about the platform jump, you don't need the platforms to beat it; just jump as late as possible and as high as you can without getting sucked up into the spikes by the platforms.

Yeah, I mean the mini-spikes. I can do the first jump with a cancel strat, but I think the second one is a 1-frame, and I literally can't do that given the quality of my keyboard.  :atkCry:

EDIT: also in secret 2 of k3 i died to the last shuriken thing before the portal because it blended into the background...

I got to K3 S1 and panicked and jumped to the save and pressed S for some reason to save, since I was used to Backspace being the exit secret button from playing cultured.

Got it quickly after but it's easily my worst fail so far.

TIL that pressing Q on difficulty select screens resets your save. At least in Locus it does. I was in the middle of stage 3, so it's not that big a loss, but still pretty frustrating.

afaik it only happens on games made with certain engines (e.g. ねころんEdition); I know in other engines (yuuutu, Lemon, etc.) the ability to commit suicide in the difficulty select room was disabled.

ok so this might be hard to believe, but a few posts ago i posted about how i broke my laptop a few days after being colonel and piano. well it just happened a few minutes ago again and i want to kill myself holy shit

i raged at a game of pong and then i hit the laptop too hard i think and i lost my k3 progress in the process, at the exact same spot i lost my save last time.

p.s. fuck you moose, this isn't funny, don't laugh :^)

I forget what game, but it was a really hard screen, I think there was a really tight corner jump, then a bunch of other stuff, then a gate, then a save. Well, I died on the gate. Luckily I got back there soon after.
