I find myself getting worse and worse at fangames nowadays even though I play them regularly. This is pretty odd since this never happened to me with a video game before including fangames. For some reason I can't beat needles I used to beat anymore. Does anyone care? Why would this happen?

Sounds like the good ol case of not-too-into-it-itis. Just play fun and hard games for a while and you should get a bit better.

Regression is often caused by burnout, breaks are always good

I'd suggest a break, too. I noted that when I take a break from a game and later come back to it, I quickly become much better at it than I ever was. I've heard the same from other people, so it might not be just imagination.

"The Break" I have decided to take was longer than I've expected, and now, I am actually worse. I'm back though, hello everyone!

I usually start worse after breaks, then get better
Or at least, it happened with my 8 month break with Osu!

I did extremely hard songs on osu!mania in a car on a road trip. Got back home, couldn't do the thing in a car.
;-; I don't understand life anymore

I fail to see how this is relevant to anything in the thread; keep it on topic
