Our one year anniversary is on the 13th of june and we're looking for event suggestions so post whatever ideas you have

Current ideas:
Huge boshy race (the game that essentially started this whole thing)
We all start our stream at the same time and see who can stream the longest
AGDQ-type stream
Team race
Fangame marathon race

How about a guy game marathon? Choose some of fangames(you could include original I wanna be the guy), and race all of them in order.(after finishing one, start another immediately)
Here's an example list I suggest for the marathon.
1. I wanna be the Guy (Glitchless)
2. I wanna get the Yellow Star
3. I wanna conquer the blow game
4. I wanna conquer the blow game 2
5. I wanna conquer the blow game 3
6. I wanna be the GReeeeN
7. I wanna get cultured
8. Not another needle game(Bad end)
9. I wanna be the boshy(Average)
10. I wanna kill the kamilia 2
The list above is just my suggestion. If you're going with marathon, you don't have to use that exact list.
I think this could be good for nice, long stream, if that's what you want.

Instead of just racing games that are raced a lot anyway we could race more uncommon games. To pep things up we could form teams to race each other (for example team needle, team avoidance, team adventurerer, etc).

Yeah that would be cool, the question is how we would draw attention to that channel.

I like the endurance idea you had ... that would be hilarious. Getting a common start time I think would be tough. Any races would also be certainly welcome.

Also wouldn't hurt if some of our more popular users began early on their own channel to amass a bunch of people and then everyone does a combined super raid into the main channel at the planned time! :SwiftRage: :SwiftRage: :SwiftRage: :SwiftRage: :SwiftRage: :SwiftRage: Also, at times when they are not contributing to the main stream directly, they can turn their own stream on that just shows an image saying "Go [here] for Wannabes Anniversary stream!"
It would also make sense to have a schedule with that channel so that everyone knows what's going on and when. That way everyone can get hyped for their favorite streamer doing their favorite game or whatever. Also like agdq racing can be incorporated into this. Some of the scheduled events can be races of popular games (and blind races of unpopular games). Such classic rivalries as Den vs. Cosmic in K2 and Kale kicking everyone else's asses in Boshy. If we split the racers into teams like Hector suggested, each team can each have at least one representative per race and try to accumulate points throughout the night.

Nice ideas so far, I've been thinking that we could make a commemorative fangame, or maybe some people making a game in a short period and release it on the 13th ? :FrankerZ:

Another idea that had come up after talking with a few others (mostly Sword, shoutout!) - doing some sort of charity stream to whatever you guys wanted to donate to. We could all share the same link of whatever charity. If someone were to set that up, it'd be pretty cool!

I think a FGDQ charity live stream event would be tons of fun, and I'd gladly take a late night/early morning slot if we did that. Unfortunately, I work a late night on the 13th, so I'd miss most of the event, so uploading it on some YouTube channel would be good. We could try to get Kayin into the stream at some point to talk with him. Anyway, whatever we do, we should decide soon because you gotta build up the hype.

The event's getting close so we probably should decide on something by now, how about we do a vote about the ideas that have come up?

I don't know if we're doing anything, seems like most people want a GDQ type stream and we don't really have enough time to set it up. I don't think doing one of these streams is a very good idea either because I feel like we're too small for that.

I guess we can all just change our titles to "The Wannabes one year anniversary" for that day, I didn't realize the anniversary was on the 13th until I actually made this thread

I think that I could do the outlast thing. I feel like that would be an awesome idea, especially if we were all on vent or something.
ALSO the charity thing; but I'm not sure if that can happen in time :s

It would be atleast cool if most of the Team member would be able to stream. We could sit in vent and race a bit or something.
Imo a relay race would be pretty cool, but we're kinda short in time to organize everything.

This seems like the easiest one to set up out of all of them. If we were to make an announcement regarding which event we're doing, it would be wise to make it soon, so people can prepare/get ready for Friday! :D
Edit: When we do that, maybe a few of us could set up a quick list of games we plan to do, so there's not too much overlap?

Welp, that sucks. Again, I work late on that day, which is why I really wanted the FGDQ idea. Also, with everyone streaming together, a lot of people will still just flock to the popular ones that they always watch, and the smaller channels (the ones who consistently get under 20-ish), will go even more unnoticed. Also, Ventrilo is lame. I'll probably just do a normal stream once I get home. :/

Well I had a lot of fun during that marathon! Although I didn't attract the biggest crowd, I managed to stay streaming for 12h and 47m, which is my new personal record.
Here's the list of games I played through during those near-13 hours:

I tried to mix up the game genres to include a little of everything - adventure, 100 floor, avoidance, needle, gimmick, etc. Overall it was a really fun time, and I'm shocked I was able to get through these all! Hopefully we have more team-based events like this in the future!
