Title: Tacky looking fullscreen
Post by: Jmannorway on September 10, 2016, 09:52:07 AM
I just got a new pc so that I could finally start playing games without unfathomable ammounts of lag.
First game I downloaded and played was the recently released Cultured 2. At first everything was just fine. Smooth fullscreen and all. But then, I come back to continue playing the next day and the game starts looking really bad when I play in fullscreen. https://prnt.sc/cgd3dt

I know that some people may say; "Hey, why don't you just play windowed then? Well I have searched on the forum  and I haven't found a single solution to this problem yet. And I have seen people who have suddently started having this problem and then it suddently fixes itself again. If anyone could post a solution to it here we'd be done with it once and for all (maybe).

Looking forward to your replies  \ :atkHappy: /

I don't see anything wrong with that screenshot (besides the grid of course0

The screen looks kinda crinkly compared to normal resolution; I've only seen this happen with studio games, however.

Okay maybe the picture wasn't the best example, so here's a comparison with how it used to look: https://prntscr.com/cggz28 and how it looks now: https://prntscr.com/cggx6k

It's a pretty huge difference and it is very distracting and bad on the eyes.

Yeah but, most studio games use the YoYo engine where the fullscreen smoothing option's a part of the engine itself.
But this happens for me with all fangames I've tried on this new computer so far.
