Title: GM Lite Logo Removal(?)
Post by: GalacticHooloovoo on February 06, 2016, 09:44:35 PM
Hello all!

I have been recently trying to create a few not-joke fangames, and I realized that I could not find any way to "remove" the GM lite logo (by methods of downloading other programs, such as GM:Studio, which doesn't work on my computer for some reason). However, i realized that there are a crap ton of fangames (even bad ones) where I doubt the creators were willing to buy GM Standard, and it doesn't have the GM:Studio starting screen.

So, how are a lot of people able to create fangames without the stupid logo?

Thanks!

If you're using GM8.1 or 8.0, you are no longer able to purchase the standard edition. You will have to use illegitimate methods to obtain it. If you switch to Studio, you will have to live with the splash and room caption until you purchase it.

I never really thought about it but with blend modes and proper positioning couldn't you remove it by canceling out the colors or something?

Just find a game maker license key somewhere and use it to get game maker standard. since the program was discontinued, it will verify no matter if anyone has used the code before. No torrenting / crack necessary.
